The perpetrator of the Sapporo prostitute serial murder case, which imitates the Jack the Ripper case, and one of the escaped convicts, Keiji Ueji, who is heading to Sapporo, Sugimoto and his friends travel to the outskirts of Sapporo to catch the two murderers. Boutaro gives Asiripa the gold coins found at Lake Shikotsu. Asiripa sees this and she is convinced that Wilk did not kill the Ainu.
Sophia and the others land in Otaru.
Even though Takuboku Ishikawa is being attacked by Private First Class Usami, he determines that the scene where the next murder will be committed is the Sapporo Beer Factory. Asiripa and his friends split into four groups and play the role of prostitutes as they wait for the criminal. Usami comes to Kadokura, who plays the prostitute, and the culprit comes to Kantaro. Fireworks are set off as a signal, and they run to secure the prisoner.

Volume 26

In order to save Kadokura, Ushiyama engages in a battle with Usami, and Tsukishima, Koito, Kikuta, and Nikaido join him. Ushiyama escapes to a beer factory. Asiripa and Sugimoto also enter the factory.
Michael, the criminal who went to Kantaro’s place, is a prisoner with tattooed skin. Kantaro and Hijikata fight, and Michael also escapes into the factory. Ogata is found by Russian sniper Vasili.
A battle breaks out between Sugimoto and Koito & Nikaido, and a large number of beer barrels burst, resulting in a flood. Asiripa is abducted by Kikuta, but Kadokura lets Asiripa escape and is chased by Usami.
Usami chases Kadokura and steals the tattooed human skin from him. Then Ogata appears and the battle begins. Usami had the upper hand, but Ogata shoots Usami. A dying Usami flees the factory and Ogata shoots Usami from her window as she rides her horse. After she is shot, Usami reunites with Tsurumi and gives her a copy of her tattooed human skin, which she took from Kadokura. Meanwhile, Keiji Ueji climbs to the top of the chimney and starts acting strange.
As the smoke from the fire spreads, Asiripa repeatedly abducts and escapes, but is eventually captured by Lieutenant Tsurumi.

Volume 27

Sugimoto, Boutarou, and Shiraishi ride a beer advertising car and chase the Tsurumi corps, which has captured Asiripa disguised as a firefighter. Boutaro is shot by Kikuchi and Tsurumi, and before he dies, he tells Shiraishi about the place where the Ainu first collected gold nuggets.
Lieutenant Tsurumi teaches Asiripa together with Sophia “who killed the Ainu” and “why Wilk had to be killed”. It is revealed that Kiroranke killed Wilk because he deviated from his proposal to “create a Far Eastern Federation of ethnic minorities.” It is also teached that the Ainu were divided into groups that believed in Wilk and those that did not believe in him, and they fought against each other, and that Wilk faked his death by peeling off his own face.
Tsurumi states that his purpose is the prosperity of Japan, not personal revenge for Wilk’s shooting and killing of his wife and daughter. Ensign Koito and Sergeant Tsukishima, who were eavesdropping, are delighted.
Lieutenant Tsurumi says, “You are the only one who can atone for your father’s sins”, and Asiripa says the key word to the code.

Volume 28

Ariko enters the church and helps Asiripa. He escapes with Sophia, but before he can get into the propaganda car, Ariko is shot.
Asiripa tells Hijikata and the others that she has found a way to identify fakes.
Asiripa and his friends try to solve the code while traveling on a train towards the place where the gold nugget was first hidden, which Boutarou told them about.
Sugimoto falls asleep while being rocked by the train and dreams about his past. Sugimoto leaves his hometown and goes to Tokyo, where he meets Sergeant Kikuta (now a special sergeant major). Sugimoto is called “Norabō” and is put on a blind date as Yusaku Hanazawa’s substitute. The arranged meeting ends in failure, and Kikuta transfers to join Tsurumi’s 7th Division, while Sugimoto decides to join the army, where he can eat white rice.
Tsurumi’s camp and Asiripa Hijikata’s camp crack the code almost at the same time. The goal is “Goryokaku”.

Volume 29

At Goryokaku, Hijikata confidently digs into the military food rice storage area. From there, the land title deed comes out. The Ainu had signed a treaty with Takeaki Enomoto that recognized Ainu land ownership in exchange for gold bullion.
Half of the gold used to buy the land. When I was about to find the other half, there was naval gunfire. Captain Koito comes to Hakodate Port on a destroyer.
Shinpachi Nagakura tells Lieutenant Tsurumi that there was no gold bullion, just a land title deed, but negotiations break down and Nagakura runs away and joins Kadokura and the others.
Hijikata sees a copy of Kadokura’s tattoo and remembers a well for horses. When they dig in the area of the buried well, they find a large amount of leather bags filled with gold dust.
Naval gunfire begins again. After completely destroying the redoubts, the infantry of the Tsurumi camp simultaneously packed into three bridges in Goryokaku, and a fierce battle began.
Nagakura and his friends arrive at Mt. Hakodate and search for the Kaitenmaru’s main gun.

Volume 30

Although Sophia’s subordinate Mansur destroys four destroyers, Lieutenant Tsurumi takes control of one wing of the fort, and soldiers enter Goryokaku from the south exit. Nikaido finds Sugimoto and attacks him, but in the end Sugimoto wins. Sugimoto meets up with Hijikata and convinces him to escape.
Since both the south and east exits have fallen, Shiraishi and Asiripa try to escape through the north exit in order to protect the land title. Shiraishi failed. Asiripa, who was hiding, is found by Tsurumi and meets Sugimoto as she runs away. Sophia, who was protecting the North Exit, refuses to leave and says she will protect the North Exit to the death for Asiripa. However, she meets Tsurumi and is shot without resisting.
Ogata was waiting in the windbreak near the north exit, but he finally fired to settle the score with Vasili.
Tanigaki who came to help, Hijikata and others, Sugimoto, are riding on horseback when they see a train. They got on the train thinking it was going to Hakodate, but…

Volume 31

There are soldiers on the train… It was a reinforcement train. He tries to get off in a hurry, but Lieutenant Tsurumi appears and takes aim at her quiver. Asirpa crawled under his seat and moved forward. Ushiyama throws away his soldiers one by one. Hijikata and Sugimoto also fight and try to get Asirpa off the train, but they are unable to get off.
Sergeant Tsukishima, Second Lieutenant Koito, and Ogata also board the train.
Sergeant Tsukishima and Ushiyama fight, and Ensign Koito and Hijikata fight. Although Ushiyama had the upper hand, he became a shield to protect Asiripa from the grenades.
Hijikata is still fighting despite having cut the top of his head by Koito. When he finally collapses, he entrusts his sword to Sugimoto.
Asiripa realizes that her quiver has been stolen and chases after Tsurumi. Sugimoto finds Ogata and goes to fight. When Sugimoto is about to be killed, Asiripa shoots Ogata in the stomach with an arrow. Ogata is confused due to the poison and takes his own life.
The train is running out of control with only the lead car in it. Sugimoto and Asiripa corner Tsurumi, but Sugimoto is stabbed, but he lets Asiripa escape just before they hit the station.
Sugimoto returned to the Ainu village with Asiripa, and Asiripa worked to protect the Ainu culture by turning the deeded land into a national park.
Finally, a letter from Shiraishi arrives…
